Akilah is an Executive Director on Morrison's Strategy, Product & Growth ("SPG") team, partnering with the Head of SPG to spearhead the development and execution of the firm's global strategic initiatives. Prior to Morrison, she was a Director on the Value Creation Team at Warburg Pincus, providing M&A integration advisory to portfolio companies across the firm portfolio.
Prior to Warburg, Akilah spent five years as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she was a member of both the Strategy & Corporate Finance and M&A practices. Akilah started her career as a Teach For America New York corps member, teaching middle school math to 5th graders at Uncommon Schools.
Akilah holds a JD/MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the Wharton School, an M.S. in Education from Hunter College, and an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College.
