Austin is a Corporate Partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Austin advises private equity sponsors as well as public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, complex structured investments, dispositions, joint ventures, and other significant domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, with a focus in the energy and infrastructure sector. He also counsels clients with respect to general corporate and governance matters.

Austin is licensed to practice law in New York State and holds a B.A. in Psychology and Economics from Cornell University, an M.A. in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount, a J.D. from Columbia Law School, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
