Dr. Fritz Galette, Executive Board Chair
Dr. Fritz Galette is a New York State Licensed Psychologist. As the Executive Director of Positive Psychology Associates PLLC, he leads and collaborates with a team of clinicians, therapists, and clinical interns to provide psychotherapy, counseling, and coaching services to individuals, groups, and families in New York City.
Dr. Galette has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University. His dissertation on the impact of stressful life events has been presented internationally. Dr. Galette has been an adjunct professor of psychology at New York University since 2008 and has also taught psychology at Fordham University, Queens College, and Lehman College.
Dr. Galette is a Senior Consultant at Loeb Leadership LLC a leadership development firm providing coaching, training, and consulting of the highest quality to staff, leaders, and managers across various industries.
Dr. Galette hosted the popular radio show, "Ask Dr Fritz" on the famed radio station WWRL from 2011 to 2013. In the show, Dr. Galette engaged special guests and live callers on issues such as mental health and wellness, healthy relationships, and finding happiness as well as topical issues such as racism, gun violence, and politics.
Dr. Galette has been interviewed for commentary by a number of media outlets including the New York Times, Psychology Today Radio, Next Avenue Magazine, and Ebony Magazine.
Dr. Galette was a high school math teacher and tutor. He was introduced to C/D at the first annual gala and compelled by the C/D mission became a board member shortly thereafter. In October of 2023, he was elected as board chair.
As Chair, Dr. Galette is committed to fostering an inclusive environment with open communication and collaboration within our board and a strong partnership with our Executive Director. He believes that by working together and leveraging our collective skills and experiences, we can continue to grow C/D in its mission.
Dr. Galette is committed to helping C/D enhance its program delivery, implementation, and student-generated outcomes with math; driving our focus on integrating culturally responsive programs with an expanded worldview.
